Wendy’s Baconator a Hit Eick September 27, 2007 Burgers, Fast Food Fast Food News is reporting today that Wendy’s Baconator has proven to be a big success, selling 25 million burgers since it debuted in July. Wendy’s Chief Executive Officer and President Kerrii Anderson describes the Baconator as: “One of the most successful new product introductions we’ve had in some time.” 25 million burgers in two months? That is truly impressive. To give some comparison, in a two month period, McDonald’s sells 90 million Big Mac’s. Of course McDonald’s has 31,000 stores, and Wendy’s only has 6,700. This means in the first two months of the Baconator, Wendy’s sold more than 3,700 Baconator’s per store, which is more than the 2,900 Big Mac’s sold per McDonald’s store during that time.
