Free Taco’s Today Eick October 30, 2007 Fast Food, Marketing For those of you who actually enjoy Taco Bell (not me), you can get a free hard-shell beef taco today. Taco Bell’s “Steal a Base, Steal a Taco” promotion is going to fulfill their free taco for everyone in America pledge today. Of course, it’s not really being made accesible to everyone in America. Conveniently, Taco Bell has scheduled the giveaway from 2 PM to 5 PM. Too late for most people to swing by during lunch, and too early for people to stop in for dinner. Well played Taco Bell, well played. You got millions of dollars in free press for your promotion, and now only college kids who sleep until 2 PM and people with odd work schedules can actually take advantage of that free taco.
