Heinz Ketchup: Still a Slow Pour Eick December 22, 2008 Advertising, Condiments, Videos 3 Comments The Wall Street Journal has a video up of the newest Heinz ketchup commercial, which continues their “slow pour theme.” The ad is well done, and the kid’s line of, “hey you can’t shake it Dad!”, and his defensive “I wasn’t!” is probably one of the cuter interactions I’ve recently seen in an ad of any kind. As the intro to that ad notes, the “slow pour” theme goes all the way back to the 1960’s, when it was created by Heinz marketer Charles M. Berger, who recently passed away.
