Granville Moore’s Teddy Folkman to Appear on The Next Food Network Star

A press release just hit my inbox announcing the 10 competitors on the upcoming season of The Next Food Network Star, which premieres June 7th.  Notable among them, at least for DC residents, is Teddy Folkman, the Executive Chef at Granville Moore’s.  Granville’s is located on H st. in the NE quadrant of Washington, DC, and defines itself as a “Gastropub with a Healthy Belgian Fetish.”

Big kudos go out to Capital Spice, who correctly guessed in January that Folkman was slated to be a competitor in the upcoming Next Food Network Star season.

Folkman has already achieved a small degree of fame on The Food Network, after he was challenged to a Mussels competition last summer for Throwdown with Bobby Flay.   Washingtonian interviewed Folkman about the competition and how he used his moules fromage bleu to defeat Flay.
