Dairy Queen (37%) defeats Wendy’s (34%) and Sonic (29%).

Congratulations to Dairy Queen. After more than 50,000 total Fast Food Bracket votes, they now hold the title of top Fast Food chain in America as voted on by So Good readers.

The final vote is upon us. 32 food chains entered the ring for an all out brawl known as the Fast Food Bracket.  Click HERE to see how it all began.  There were surprises, upsets, and perhaps the most shocking final four vote ever, as Sonic and Dairy Queen somehow managed to tie with EXACTLY 4,267 votes each.  Due to this extremely unlikely turn of events, we have what should prove to be a hilariously awesome THREE-WAY vote to determine who is the best fast food chain in America.

For the Finals match-up #1 Wendy’s takes on #3 Sonic and #4 Dairy Queen in this epic vote.

No instant run-off voting in this one folks, we vote this week and then it’s all over but the whining, even if the margin ends up being 34%-33%-33%, the chain with the most votes will be crowned champion.

Voting will be open until 1 pm FRIDAY. The polling application has been set so that readers can vote once every 12 hours.

    This is really stupid. First of all Wendy’s is obviously the best. Second, DQ should not even count as a fast food chain because it is not. It sells ice cream for fuck sakes. There’s not even a drive thru window.

    To the person who said DQ is having their followers slam the vote, I got here because Wendy’s sent me. But, I voted for DQ. In my little town we have 3 DQ’s, 2 Sonics and 1 Wendy’s. Seems to me that my town has voted in favor of DQ. I would rather take my kids to DQ than any other fast food place.

    Honestly, I think Wendy’s is the best.. You can’t count DQ as a fastfood place, they have ice cream.
    Anyways, I have tried a hot dog from there and it was gross!

    man dq is the bomb…there blizards r delicious. sonic sux they made me wait 1 hour to get my food n drink. it was ridiciously hot. then when we ask them for our order they said that we did not order….wdf I was mad…Wendys suck to cuz they have those nasty soy pattys. it might b good for you but u no what fast-food is never good for u but on a hot day or cold winter no matter what dq is delicious.

    I voted for DQ because I have only been to Sonic once and they didn’t even answer the intercom, and Wendy’s burgers are so flat. “Is there any meat in that sandwich?” “I don’t know all I can see is the massive amounts of bun!” DQ should totally win with their awesome fries and gravy plus BLIZZARDS!!!!!

    Grillman25; Firstly, just because your local DQ doesn’t have a drive-thru, doesn’t mean they don’t exist. There are plenty of Starbucks both with and without drive-thru windows. Secondly, this is a family forum. This is a discussion of QSR’s. There is no need to swear about it. (Eick, can you edit comments??)

    Sonic has beat that deal over and over again. Sonic has had free root beer float nights where everyone on the lot gets a free root beer float, 50 cent corn dogs on Halloween, 99 cent shakes and 99 cent cream slushes most of last summer and there are always coupons around for buy one get one burgers and or coneys, Free Rt 44 drinks, 99 cent Rt 44 drinks, the list goes on and on. There are also free drinks for calling a survey number on a portion of the receipts.

    When the day comes that DQ or Wendy’s can top that …then u can consider them matching up to Sonic!

    DQ does NOT sell ice cream. They sell a soft serve dairy product. The butterfat content is less than legally required for ice cream. The brazier food they serve is slightly better than microwaved stuff from home. Sonic couldn’t stay in business locally.
    Wendy’s has great service and good food.

    TO FRANK IN CHICAGO LAND you have not been everywhere in Indiana if you haven’t seen a Sonic. Head south on I-65 and take the St. Rd. 26 exit at Lafayette. Head west towards Lafayette and turn left on Creasy Lane. You can’t miss the Sonic. Enjoy!

    Just voted for Sonic–thanks to all the comments from Wendy’s voters that I read above!! Sonic is made to order–who cares if I have to wait a little bit longer? That just means that my food hasn’t been sitting there for who knows how long?? I hardly ever eat at Wendy’s if I can help it–their burgers have gotten so small and forget trying to get a hot fry. I guarantee it’s going to be cold and soggy. Besides, Happy Hour at Sonic puts every other FF joint in their place!! And where else can you get an order of Tots? Tell me, please!?! Ãœ Mmmmm Tots and fresh fruit slushies!!!

    DQ has lots of food choices expecially if its a grill and chill!!! FYI it is considered a food place! The big difference is, you can have dessert while you are there!!! MY VOTE DAIRY QUEEN

    last time i went to DQ all they had was chicken nuggets, burgers, and vanilla soft serve. like wtf. yeah sure, u got ice cream, not really. lol. sorry wendys but i vote for sonic. peanut butter shake + popcorn chicken = win.

    Dairy Queen has awesome food and also ice cream. Their breakfast is really great, biscuit and gravy, omelets, eggs any way you want them, and I love the mushroom swiss burger. They have some great fresh salads too. Their cakes are awesome also. Just to name a few things. I work at a Dairy Queen and they’ve had a flame broiler for several years now, you can’t beat that with a regular grill.

    Sonic has the best food and service. Last time I was at a DQ I had to wait for an iced tea!! And then they got it wrong!!! WTF Got sweet tea instead of unsweetened tea/diabetics don’t drink tea with sugar! DUH! Wendy’s doesn’t even begin to compare with quality, variety, or affordability. Sonic has a good value menu also.

    DQ IS FAST FOOD! They serve all kinds of grill items, and they’re WAY good. It’s the only fast food place I will even get a burger from. They blow everyone else out of the water! My absolute favorite place. I get food there more than ice cream. It’s always fresh. You have to let the fries cool off before you can even eat them.

    DQ has a value menu also. Your choose between 9 items, 2 for 3$, 3 for 4$ or 4 for 5$. So at DQ you can get for example a single cheese burger, onionring, 21oz drink and a sundae. Pretty good bargain!

    Dairy Queen is starting to run away with the voting! Blizzards > All Else. For those of you who say DQ doesn’t count b/c they aren’t fast food, you must have never been to a DQ in your entire life. DQ has burgers, fries, hot dogs, chicken strips, chicken sandwiches, even waffle sandwiches. As a whole their menu is more diverse than Wendy’s and on par with Sonic. To say it’s not fast food is a moronic statement.

    DQ is the original. The Rolla DQ has more drink choices by far than any sonic. If you want to talk icecream try a blizzard and a blast side by side. You will see the difference between the best and a cheap imitation.

    Also to the guy who said Sonic has better deals. Dairy Queen is driving around the country stopping in almost every state and even three cities in Canada on a tour giving away thousands of free blizzards. I just got mine here in WV a few nights ago and it was a pretty good size considering it was free. You can’t beat free. Also forgot to rep the English Dogs which ruuuulllleeee.

    I’ve only been to Sonic twice and both times ended up with food poisoning. And they were two different ones. DQ’s ice cream is good but the chicken kid’s meal I got for daughter was disgusting. For a kid who could care less what she eats, she hated it. Out of the three, Wendy’s is the only place that I have never had a problem. They have never gotten my order wrong, and I have never had bad customer service. If we eat in the dining room, there is always a manager that comes out and makes sure everything is good. In my opinion, I think Wendy’s should win.

    We don’t have any Sonics in Wyoming. DQ is the place to be and bar far better in my town than the local Wendy’s. They are fast food and ours has a great assortment of items to order plus the wonderful ice cream treats. Everything from salads,hambergers, chicken strips to cones, bars and blizzards!

    May I just say that just because some owners choose to open an ice-cream-only store does not mean that DQ is not fast food and shouldn’t be considered an option. I work in a very fast-paced store with both options and we believe in serving great quality products to our customers. I agree with the above comments stating that the store is only as good as how it is ran and one bad store or experience does not mean the whole chain is bad. I love Wendy’s and have never been to a Sonic, so I actually feel it is unfair to vote against them when I have no opinion of them, good or bad.
