With Thanksgiving coming up, it’s good to get a game plan going. Only an amateur would go in to this yearly family feast blind, eating appetizers willy nilly and filling up way too early, or find themselves with a needlessly large pile of potatoes they don’t really want. Here at So Good, we know how to set you up for success. That’s why this Thursday’s Eating Styles poll is all about turkey.

When faced with a tray of turkey, one half light and one half dark, which side do you go for? Do you enjoy the more fresh and healthy aspects of white meat, or the decadent indulgence of dark? Or do you sink your turkey in so much gravy it doesn’t matter? Or do you just hate turkey altogether, and prefer a good ham or even a steak? Vote for your favorite option below, and explain in the comments.

It’s all about the drumstick, and maybe a thigh. Thankfully I’m usually the cook so the drumstick hits my plate immediately after carving. If anyone wants to try to take it from me it’s a duel to the death

vegetarians don’t exist in this poll. 🙁
oh well, I’ll rapidly consume all the sides while everyone is distracted with the dead bird. I get all the good stuff. 🙂

In some ways I am growing to prefer dark meat with the legs (drum sticks) the preferred portion of the cooked dead bird.

I believe I may look for the on-sale cheap frozen bag of drumsticks and cook them in the crock pot and create a possibly yummy chicken soup with added frozen veggies and some seasoning.
