This “grisly 1840 doll-sized butcher shop with miniature animal carcasses and a floor covered in sawdust and blood” was recently highlighted on Collectors Weekly. Nowadays, many of us are happy to be oblivious and ignorant of the source of our food, but in Victorian times, elaborate models of butcher shops were not uncommon. What do you think? Would you buy an antique toy such as this for one of your kids? Or maybe as a collectible item for yourself?
