Eating Styles: Pizza Condiments Edition! Sam February 4, 2013 Eating Styles 9 Comments It’s Monday, meaning it’s time for another Eating Styles poll. Today also happens to be my boyfriend Ryan’s birthday, so in honor of his favorite food, I’m doing another pizza-related poll. “What more could there be to ask about pizza?” you might wonder, since we’ve already covered pizza toppings, pizza grease and how you hold your pizza. Well, this week’s question is about something you might not think about as much: pizza condiments. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: we as Americans loooove to dip our food in sauce. Even if the food in question could stand up just fine on its own, we still want that extra oomph of flavor that comes from the likes of ranch or nacho cheese. Some people love dipping pizza in ranch, some think it’s just strange. Do you dip your pizza in ranch? If not, what else do you use to spice up the flavor of your pizza? Red pepper flakes? Parmesan cheese? Vote for your favorite options below (you can pick more than one) and explain in the comments. Any pizza place I go to has red pepper, cheese, and garlic available to shake onto your slice. Reply Mike February 4th, 2013 I’ve herd of people putting on katchup too, but it makes me feel awkward just thinking about it. Reply Andres Bravo February 4th, 2013 Down in Mexico EVERYONE puts ketchup on their pizzas, which is why there’s always little packets at every pizza place or chain Reply Cameron February 4th, 2013 For me, just the crust needs a dipper. I like garlic butter (a la Papa John’s) or ranch or spicy queso. Reply Geeeeena. February 4th, 2013 ranch? never heard of that, but it sounds good!
