When Bad Commercials Attack: Soulvaki Hut Andy April 25, 2013 Advertising, Bizarre, Fast Food Sometimes it only takes one badly executed ad campaign to derail any momentum a business is enjoying. In some cases, they never manage to recover. Case in point: Soulvaki Hut in Australia. Founded in 2005, it was the darling of top franchise lists down under for many years until this television commercial surfaced. Since then, the Hut has struggled, mired in financial nightmares , franchisee disputes and closures of many locations including a store owned by former Carlton football star Anthony Koutoufides who became the face of their campaigns and appears in the ad. Can this commercial take sole blame for the House of Soulvakis fall from grace? Take a look and prepare for awesomeness.
