This hard apple cider sangria recipe is a must try. The beauty of sangria is in its simplicity. Take some wine and chopped fruit, add sweetener (sugar or sweet fruit juice) and a small amount of brandy to balance the flavor. Chill it, the longer it stays in the fridge the better it gets. Only thing to watch out for is that if you are going to use some carbonated drink or sparkling wine in your sangria you should add it last, just before serving. Regarding wine selection pretty much anything goes, you can even replace wine with hard apple cider. It makes an interesting twist on this old classic. Usually all recipes containing apples are considered an autumn thing but this apple cider sangria is so refreshing and it is perfect year round especially during hot summer months. So go ahead and try it and feel free to add your personal twist to this recipe. There are countless recipes and variations, use your favorite fruits, spice and liquors. It’s hard to add the wrong ingredient. However you decide to make it, I just recommend sharing it with friends. Remember sangria is a drink and a snack to, so don’t leave behind perfectly alcohol infused fruit. Hard apple cider sangria 2014-05-29 11:10:22 Serves 4 Refreshing sangria with a twist!
